With 39 years of experience as a General Contractor and 24 years as an FHA HUD Consultant, Gerald has dedicated his career to revitalizing communities, improving infrastructure, and increasing economic opportunities. Transforming Communities & Driving Growth
As a Village of Robbins official, Gerald revamped critical departments and secured millions in funding to improve village services. His achievements include:
Increased permit and inspection revenues from $17K to $135K in two years – adding $90K in revenue (2022-23)
Revamped the Public Works Department, built a salt barn, and secured new trucks & equipment for self-sufficiency
Secured over $15.5 million in state grant funding for infrastructure improvements
Managed the renovation of Village Hall, a new strip mall, and the redevelopment of the old Lincoln School into a community resource center with partners like Chicago Greater Food Depository
Oversaw the demolition of over 60 vacant commercial and residential properties to improve safety and property values
Led the $33M Robbins Stormwater Park & Flood Control Project with MWRD – at no cost to the village!
Replaced over 90% of all street and stop signs for improved traffic safety

David Mendez – Candidate for Steger Village Trustee!
The Alliance Party of Steger is proud to introduce David Mendez, a dedicated community leader and lifelong resident, as a candidate for Village Trustee!
Born and raised in Steger, David has been deeply involved in our community for decades. A former Bloom Trail High School athlete, he excelled in wrestling, football, and track, even making it to state for pole vaulting.
A hardworking professional, David has built a strong career in the waste management industry, currently working for SBC Waste Solutions, one of the largest woman-owned garbage companies in the region.
A passionate mentor, David has dedicated over 20 years to coaching and developing local youth. His leadership includes:

Jonathan Hollifield – Candidate for Steger Village Trustee!
The Alliance Party of Steger is excited to introduce Jonathan Hollifield, a dedicated community leader, business owner, and 24-year resident, as a candidate for Village Trustee! A Skilled Tradesman & Business Leader
With 30 years of construction experience, Jonathan started as a Local 174 Will County Carpenter, working his way up to Senior VP of Operations before founding JonSon Remodeling Inc. in 2010. His hands-on expertise and leadership in the trades have helped improve homes and businesses throughout Steger. A Committed Youth Sports Coach & Mentor
Jonathan has spent years giving back to the community through coaching and mentorship:

Jonathan has lived in Steger since April 2000 with his wife, Amy Hollifield, of 28 years, raising two children who were also involved in local sports. He enjoys golf, fitness, and family time when he’s not working or giving back to the community.

Thomas Dreixler – Candidate for Steger Village Trustee!
The Alliance Party of Steger is proud to introduce Thomas (Tom) Dreixler, a dedicated community volunteer, longtime resident, and skilled tradesman, as a candidate for Village Trustee! A Proud Steger Resident & Community Leader
Tom has called Steger home since 1988, where he and his wife, Kathie, have raised six children and recently welcomed two grandchildren. Over the years, Tom has selflessly served the community, volunteering and mentoring local youth. A Passionate Youth Coach & Mentor
Tom has coached baseball, basketball, football, soccer, softball, and volleyball, leaving a lasting impact on Steger’s young athletes. His dedication includes:

Nick has been a Steger resident for 30 years, attending Steger Parkview and Columbia Central Schools before excelling as a student-athlete at Mount Carmel High School. A Dedicated Athlete & Mentor
Nick was a multi-sport athlete, competing in football, basketball, baseball, volleyball, and track & field. His accomplishments include:
